A TALE OF 2 BROTHERS
A tale of two brothers, Jeremy and Matthew-- No two people will ever be as close or as far apart. For as they know each others' movements as if those movements were their own, they can not understand why the other is the way he is.
Jeremy, the creative. A whimsical mind that is rarely focused on just one thing or at all.
Matthew, old for his age, methodical and exacting; every decision based on how it will affect the rest of his life. Both share a relentless fight however-- to overcome their own personal demons.
Jeremy's demon appears in the form of a leaveless, naked shrub. This demon
projects violent tendancies into Jeremy's psyche, pushing him to act on them.
Matthew's demon appears as a butterfly perched on the skull of his future-self.
The demon takes Matthew from the stability of his everyday life and puts him
into a vastly more chaotic one. The butterfly-shrouded demon does this in Matthew's
dreams, with the sole purpose of driving him mad.
Jeremy overcomes his demon by focusing his wrath to achieve disturbing, yet
grand works of beautiful art. Sculpture being his outlet of choice.Matthew,
on the other hand, can figure no solution nor achieve any equation of which
to apply the nocturnal chaos which haunts his usually precise brain. His only
answer seemes to be escaping the demon by not sleeping and therefore not dreaming.
It was the wrong answer, for insomnia proved to be a demon too. Eventually Matthew
did go mad. Committing suicide soon after by clawing his throat open. The three
demons -- shrub, butterfly and insomnia would soon find their way into the works
of Jeremy the creative who died an old man, never profiting from his work.
The Moral~
Only artists benefit from bizarre and untimely deaths.
